RIP RIO GRANDE 4/20/1999 to 12/31/2019

I know I promised all of you an on-going series on bringing up a young horse. Unfortunately I lost my older equine partner, Rio Grande, at the beginning of the year to what is still very much a mystery illness. I have had to say goodbye to many great horses over the years. It’s the one downside to having long lasting partnerships with amazing animals. But Rio’s passing had hit me particularly hard; in fact it had pretty much had paralyzed me horse wise. I don’t know if it was because our partnership was cut short at only five years or if it was because I put so much effort into trying to heal him. Fortunately for me I’ve had the star of these segments, Griffindor, to yank me out of my misery (it is very hard to ignore such an adorable horse). So after an amazing amount of crying, some of wound licking and a lot of support from friends, family & clients I’m ready to continue this series.
